u see im from Korea so ill try to explain he best i can.

since Korea and Japan are very populated in a small area. so it only takes a couple of cell phone stations to cover the entire country but since north america is so vast. it takes much more radio stations and such. so then Korea and Japan have much better quality stations becasue they only need a couple, that can support cell phones at have high end features such as tv. In Korea You can use ur cell phone in the 4th floor basement.
