at the 19th week of pregnancy Leannes water broke. Known as PPROM preterm premature rupture of membrane. The doctors said after PPROM 25% make it past the first week without going into labor. We would have to hold off delivering and infection for at least 5 weeks to have a chance. One day i asked the doctor what our chances were now that we made it past the first week. he told me it was impossible to give statistics due to every situation being different, but he would guess we had a 1 in 15 chance. We held off 11 weeks. This is our journey

  • Hello Lonny and Deanne,

My name is Adam, and my wife Ginny and I just experienced the EXACT same thing as you all - we were PPROM at exactly 20 weeks, and we made it 11 weeks 1 day - and our son was born just two days ago... so we're in for a long journey as well!

But your video was incredible, and brought tears to my eyes since your story mirrors ours almost exactly. I would love to hear how your son is doing now.

    God Bless,

Adam and Ginny (from Houston, TX)

  • I just watched this video after two mos. My lil girl was born on 11/23/2011 and she weighed 2 lbs 8 oz and was 11 weeks early. It was a struggle and she fought hard to survive! She is now almost 8 lbs and getting healthier everyday. It is a funny thing, this thing called life. Most of us take it for granted; my little one clings to it every day and strives to make the most of it! Will you as well?

  • i havent cried that hard in a long time such a beautiful story my son was born at 26 weeks he is 3 now and doing fabulously well done on such a beautiful strong baby boy ..... just beautiful!

  • I break down in tears every single time I watch this. May God bless your baby boy, he is simply a beautiful gift from god. I am currently 29 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I cant imagine how heartbreaking it must be for any parent to experience this. Im glad that he is doing great. You and your wife are both very strong individuals.

  • Omg this is so beautiful.

  • He's Gorgeous.

  • he is a strong baby. i'm touched to see the boy when he was holding his mother's finger, shows he was so scared sleeping in there alone. but he made it...what a miracles..
