    I've definitely thought about that. I don't get a lot of classical experts to the site and if I did chances are it would be more difficult to track down the exact passages.

    they all use the same chord structure, but the only ones with a common melody are the Satriani and Coldplay. I may be mistaken, but I believe Joe Satriani tried to sue Coldplay over this (or at least made a big stink about it).

    Correct. Joe Satriani filed a copyright infringement suit against Coldplay claiming that the, “song ‘Viva La Vida’ incorporated ‘substantial original portions’ of his 2004 instrumental ‘If I Could Fly.’” There's some more info on the ThatSongSoundsLike website (youtube doesn't allow links here, sorry!)
