1999 - Howard Government investigated the possibility of internet censorship and found it no viable.

2008 - __? Rudd Government spends even more money doing the exact same thing but sees that it is viable despite hardly anything changing internet technology-wise in Australia in the past 10 years. Our internet is still overpriced and too slow. This is not viable in the slightest. I can't even believe we are still having to debate this crap 2 years later.

Child pornography is disgusting and cruel. Using this sick concept as a propaganda tool to sensationalise the agenda in order to sell centralised internet filtering is almost as foul. Australians are already one of the highly regulated societies on earth. It is sometimes hard to breath without some wowser having an opinion on it.
