@pennng33 - I believe one more of those named (a gentleman) happens not be straight, judging from a rambling anecdote on a bootleg I have. Of course, the other two boys on 69 Love Songs are also queer. However, like John Waters, Merritt often gives queer songs to straight singers and vice versa.

@1969captainron Ah... what? Stephin Merritt and Claudia Gonson are both gay, but as far as I know, Sam Davol, John Woo, and Susan Anway (the lead singer for the first two albums) are all straight. Not that I see why it matters in the first place... good music is good music, regardless of what genitalia the band members prefer.
