Pat Robertson interviews Dinesh D'Souza, the author of "What's So Great About Christianity?", to find out how Christians can respond to "atheism on the offensive."
The most oppressive and human-killing regime's have been when Atheists have taken over governments. Nevertheless, atheists claim that people of faith are to blame for mass amounts of people's lives being taken. This is not based on facts. In the past century, Atheism forced its beliefs on people of faith or simply slaughtered hundreds of millions of them.
Russian Atheist Government Atrocities:
The Soviet Union was the first state to have as an ideological objective the elimination of religion. Toward that end, the Communist regime confiscated church property, ridiculed religion, harassed believers, and propagated atheism in the schools. The main target of the anti-religious campaign in the 1920s and 1930s was the Russian Orthodox Church, which had the largest number of faithful.
Nearly all of its clergy, and many of its believers, were shot or sent to labor camps. Theological schools were closed, and church publications were prohibited.

@Chinomareno Just about everything you said is completely bogus. Either you are lying or you are ignorant. Please accept Jesus while you have the chance. Don't wait until its too late. There IS going to be a judgment day and only through Jesus can your sins be forgiven. Don't let your pride be your downfall.

I've learned more than you probably ever will at this point. The bible doesn't count as historical documentation sorry and the Bible is also the source of your belief in Jesus, nothing else. There is not one account of Jesus written by a contemporary, none. Not only that but there are heaps of conflicting accounts of his life in the centuries after his alleged death making the story even more dubious. But whatever, remain delusional.

@Chinomareno I see you haven't done much research on this. If you had, you would know how much written documentation there is on Jesus, much more than kings and governors. How could a Jewish carpenter from Nazareth get more written documents than kings and governors if he was just an ordinary man? You said Exodus never happened, but you cannot disprove it. And whether you admit it or not, Bible prophecy has proven the Bible to be true.

Documentation from where? Yes we do question seriously whether kings and governors existed and usually we accept they probably did based on what they built and what they left behind. We do not readily accept these figures could walk on water based on testimony...
For instance, Exodus never happened, Israeli researchers cannot find a shred of evidence in the Sinai for any mass movement of Jewish slaves.
Bible prophecy, get real man...

@Chinomareno There is more historical documentation on Jesus than there is of some of the kings and governors, yet most people don't question whether or not they existed. And the majority of Jews did not get to see Jesus, but the one's that did see Him usually ended up following Him. Bible prophecy has proven the Bible to be the word of God. You can deny it all you wish, but I have spent years studying this.

That still ignores the fact that we do not know if Jesus existed or any of the miracles ever happened. Even if there was a man named Jesus who preached a he was the son of Yahweh the vast majority of Jews were not convinced by this person or his followers and following biblical law had him put to death for apostasy.
and no we can't trust the vague excuses that prophecies were fulfilled nor is there anything remotely scientific in the Bible.

@Chinomareno But in the first century, thousands of Jews converted within the space of a few days. Very few Jews today convert to Islam, which is different from thousands of Jews converting around the same time, very soon after the resurrection. And we can trust the Bible because of the fulfilled prophecies and all the science and astronomy it contains, something Buddha cannot match.

@SoldierOfChrist110
Jews convert to Islam, does that have overwhelming evidence? Not all the Jews believed in Jesus, why are you choosing to ignore their opinion?
Children accept whatever their parents accepted, Islam, Christianity and whatever are indoctrinated just the same.
We cannot verify any such events happened, we have only the bible's claims which sit on the same level of veracity as Buddha walking on lotus and Mohammad's night journey.

@Chinomareno But if you knew anything about the Jews, you would know that no Jew would have converted unless they were given overwhelming evidence. Muslims who blow themselves up have been brainwashed from an early age and forced to submit. The disciples of Jesus were people who were free to make their own choice. And Jesus told them he would rise from the dead. If this did not happen, his disciples would have lost faith.

Scientology worked, Where's the compelling evidence for Mormonism? You can even fool people into being suicide bombers. Same with the bible, no evidence anything it describes is reliable.
