Well ... I mean, there's no denying that they are very good. I think costuming helps a lot. But, I actually think these costumes are quite obnoxious - I don't like them, just my opinion. I mean, they definitely add to the effect of the song, but if the costumes were not as extravagant, I feel like this song would not be fun to watch at all, because the dancing is not very tough. But of course, who am I to frown at them for taking full advantage of a big budget and awesome costumes?

Costumes are an important part of show choir. While too many directors think "show=costumes," without an understanding of what makes good costuming, I think this is a case where they are pretty spot-on. Carnivale is all about over-the-top; anything less would be inappropriate.

HA. i remember when we (castle) had to go RIGHT after them after this exact performance. We heard them and we're like..."this is gonna be fun guys" lol. i have so much respect for the Ambassadors they are pretty darn snazzy.

yay, good memories...just wondering...do you have the carmel accents show from last year by any chance? because, as much as i love my ambassadors, i'm not gonna lie, the accents were just as amazing (if not more) as them. so if you have it, could you post it? please & thank you!

I know costumes are an important part of show choir, but I feel like a more important part of show choir is singing and dancing, and it just annoys me probably thinking about how much money they spent on those costumes and the fact that for me, it took away from the performance, haha. Just my opinion, as I said - there's no denying they are very good.
