I got so sad that Ross left CS. It really took out the soul in Collective Soul. Ross solos are the best....

I think Joel does a really good job, but I do agree that Ross was a big part in early CS.

Who cares if he had something going on with Ed Rolands wife or had a drug/drinking issue. I'm sure there's more to the story and I'd like to hear Ross's side. Joel in new CS can't play the parts the same. Ross's sound and style made CS. I enjoy newer non Ross CS albums but no where as much as ones WITH Ross. Such musical talent.

I think humanity got screwed by his departure from CS. I know its all personal... I wish I had half this much talent playing and writing. I ain't too sure I would make the same decisions.
