Maybe the United States did arrange a complete take over of Haiti...but Haiti had problems, all sorts of human rights issues, murders on the street, diseases. The government was poorly managed and there was a lot of crime and it was generally an unsafe place to be.

There are also coutless examples of DA's, and investigators who own private planes who have had a fatal accident while in the middle of a sensitve investigation. For example, the DA who was investigating the Franklin Credit Union, Laurence King, and Boy's Town had a fatal accident when he and his 8 year old son were flying back from the MLB all star game.

And then you have the three Kennedy plane crashes - Joe Kennedy Jr., Ted Kennedy, and John Kennedy Jr.. All of those were supect.

The iranians were out allies at that time and we had just kicked Khomeini out of Iran and he was lving in Spain and France. I feel the KGB armed some fundamentalists and took it down. Many plane crashes are intelligence hits. E. Howard Hunt's wife and a dozen other watergate people died in a plane crash at midway airport in 1972 after Hunt's wife had just been paid 2 million THAT DAY AND HAD THE MONEY ON THE FLIGHT WITH HER. There was an Iranian AF 747 (that was originally the sister plane of the AC that was TWA 800) that blew up in Madrid in 75 that was flying to the US after its stop in Spain. Offical cause was the same as TWA 800 except lightning ignited the fuel tank....
