I can hear civilisation, cars .etc.
I can take you places here in Australia where there isn't another human in the next or preceding million acres.

@1grinder1 OK, Crocodile Dundee, I'm sure you're much too macho for this and Australia is wilder than the hair on your chest. But why not enjoy this short video and use your imagination, instead of criticizing? Carry on, mate, I'm sure there are some animals to kill with your bare hands.

I love the article you wrote. This is all too true. Our beautiful old buildings are being torn down daily. No one cares about preserving history. Our with the old, in with the new. If only people thought about how we can never get these things back...once they are gone they are gone because modern man just doesn't have the capability to build such works of art anymore. It goes along with his inability to think.

Victorian huh.... try again

@1grinder1 And no cool old mansions. But yeah, one man's woods are another man's civilization. I found that out when I moved from Louisiana to California.

Hi RbZom5 I have been fascinated with this mansion since I saw this video a couple years ago. I read your article so I decided to pull up a satellite image and for the life of me I cannot see it on the map. You said near the Mid Hudson Bridge and you also mentioned being able to see the Mid Hudson and Poughkeepsie railway bridges framing the view. Can you give me any other landmarks? I am enjoying searching the map but I really want to find it and am having no luck. Thanks for the wonderful pixs
