Unofficial Kalon Tripa debate in Portland, OR 7-5-2010

Radio Free Asia Tibetan Webcast Sunday, July 4, 2010. Northwest Tibetan Cultural Association hosted the celebration of the 75th birthday of HH the Dalai Lama. They also invited "unofficial candidates" of Kalon Tripa hopefuls nominated by kalontripa.org to take part in an informal debate. Tethong Tenzin Namgyal, Lobsang Senge and Phurbu Dorji accepted the invitation and took part in the debate. Due to the poor light in the auditorium the video did not come out as desired. my individual idea after listening and watching most of videos and conference,i honestly feel Lobsangla fits the best for the Prime minister's post.coz he is not only knowledegable,he is energetic,very well educated,assertive,wise,calm,c­lever,diplomatic,smart and most importantly he has the leadership quality coz he is a great speaker too and also holds a very strong educational background of law and order which i think is very much needed in our community at this stage.so Im up for him.

when you say young and energetic, you must remember that it is subjective. A 50 year old candidate is considered very young for the post of a president of a country whereas it would be too old for a soccer game. I think some people are confused.

no respected candidate ain't convinced me to put my worthy vote to them by viewed the speech..like routine Tibetan speech nothing fire in i t..seems like spit and polish and so-so..lets wait and watch ...for the final count down...guess?

his holiness the dalai lama said that in kalon tripa we have to vote young and energetic person ,,, and i see that in dr lobsang sangey ......and other two person i respect also.....

@tseringlll Yeah, I am not saying he doesn't have right to run for Kalon. Anyone is entitle to run for kalon as long as if our exile gov is democratice system howver he absolutely doesn't have that qualification and degree to be Kalon for six million Tibetans. As we all know this is the most crucial monment of our history. We should and must elect unmistakalbe someone who is right for Tibetan people and most importantly someone young, educated, energitic who can run our struggle deferently.

DR labsong sergay has qaulification for next kalon tripa he is smart and educated and when look around world and most of them graded from harvard law school for example abama is being only two years in senate and now he is president of unite state of america , this is my opinion and i am going to vote for him as well
