I wonder why he took upgraded Nile Spearmen over Pharoh's guards. I think after all those upgrades, Pharohs Guards would be cheaper and are noticably better.

are the seleucid phalanx better in loose formation?

@SauffreJet Against cavalry or another phalanx, no, but on loose formation they will do a better job of holding up and delaying other infantry because they will present a broader front. They'll also take less harm from ranged attack like all loose-formations.
