Nagyon ügyi! Én is játszottam ezt a darabot általánosban...ez volt az utolsó darabom utána abbahagytam a hegedülést:(

Verbunkos is from the German root verbinden, which means to tie, to enroll. The Austro-Hungarian army had recruiting bands marching through villages, with shiny uniforms and boots, playing verbunkos music to entice poor peasant boys to enlist in the army.

This is a very famous hungarian, traditional soldier song. Long time ago the hungarian soldiers were called HUSZARok, and they used to sing and dance for this song to get more guys to join the army. I know only the hungarian name of this whole procedure, VERBUNKOS. The name came from the austrian- hungarian monarchi, so, it s a german name. The name of the song is VERBUNKOS.
