Shauna Sutherland is a committed young teacher. l was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be Shauna's associate teacher when she was enrolled in the Faculty of Education at Lakehead University.

Shauna shows great potential to be a valuable educator. She is the comptete package.

Shauna immediately estabtished a presence with each of her classes in the first days of her practicum. She was a professional role model from the onset.

Shauna demanded attentiveness from her students and her students responded to her as they gave her the respect of an experienced teacher.

Shauna is very perceptive of student behaviour and disciplines them when necessary in an inclusive manner. Shauna is innovative when planning her lessons and she creates lessons that are interesting and appropriately connected to the course curriculum.

She emphasizes maximum participation within her activity lessons. This is very important when promoting healthy active Iiving.

Shauna was always well prepared and created innovative lessons which included many different learning strategies. She is knowtedgable in many areas and delivers her lessons with confidence.

Shauna is a genuine individual with a gift for engaging and managing students. She is enthusiastic and creates a positive learning environment in her classroom. Shauna has the energy to be involved in extra curricular programs at the school as well. She is an excellent role model for young women.

Shauna interacted professionally with other staff members and was accepted as a fellow staff member during her placement. She would be a valuable addition to any staff.

l would hire her as a member of my department in a minute if I had the opportunity.
