Well, I licked a piece of tissue paper and stuck it to that highlight (like a dimple) under the dragon's cheek, from a full side view. Then, I used a ruler to get a fair measure to the last bottom tooth. Then, I compared the mark to the top teeth, and the bottom jaw would close about 3/4ths through the nostril, toward the forward part of the snout. So, if anything there's a very slight, natural/'almost human' under bite.

@Coltranized plus, the dragon would eat your face off with the "oversized jaw" ^_^

OK i figured it out. what makes it look like that is the lack of showing the eye on the opposite side of the drawn dragon. if you see that eye it then you know its looking at you. but without it, it now looks more like a side view.

the bottom jaw is NOT oversized...........it's just the perspective.........by the way, that is an AMAZING dragon............

that explains it... before seeing this i couldn't say it was oversized neither because i was overwhelmed by the details, lightning and 3D effects...

@Coltranized that is a good point, but it's jaw is normal sized. it's just the angle.
The jaw looks large because people are having a hard time understanding that the top of the mouth(where the nose is located) is sticking out farther-it's purely a depth perception thing & people are failing to recognize that. The length of the lower jaw shows just how long the upper is. It's that simple.
Btw, GREAT WORK!

I think the jaw looks fine, here's my reasoning. The upper portion of the snout, including the nostrils and upper teeth is extremely foreshortened being pointed toward the viewer. The long lower jaw swinging down on the natural hinge of the mandible is showing a lot more of the teeth and inside of the mouth. People who aren't very familiar with foreshortening probably overlooked this and thought the upper and lower jaw needed equal measurements forgetting foreshortening. A pretty common mistake.
