My friend Joan was married and in the evening, she held her banquet at the Langham Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. It was a traditional feast so a dozen or so dishes were prepared. This course consisted of seasonal vegetables, chinese mushrooms and sliced abalone, consummately prepared and served.

  • is that abolone?

  • Yes, with Chinese mushrooms and pak choi (the leafy green vegetable)

  • Wow, that waitress is good. I used to wait tables at a Chinese banquet restaurant but wasn't any good at it...

  • Yeah, the attendant was impressive; they get a lot of practice, and training, I think.
