Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate Cheetahs to the nation at Saurashtras Junagadh based Sakkarbag zoo.
Junagadhs Sakkarbag zoo is Indias only zoo that possesses Cheetahs. Two pair of cheetahs had arrived at Sakkarbag zoo from Singapore last March.
However Cheetahs were not exhibited in public due to extreme hot temperature. They were kept in a separate closed compartment with air-cooling system, under supervision of close circuit cameras. Now when the atmosphere is cloudy in Saurashtra region, Cheetahs are being dedicated for public view.
R.O. plant water is being served to Cheetahs. Veterinary doctors visit to examine them on regular intervals.
Cheetahs were last seen in India in 1946. After then, around 30 cheetahs were brought to India for breeding purpose but they all couldnt survive long here.
Junagadhs Sakkarbag zoo got two pairs of cheetahs in exchange to three Asiatic lions that were earlier sent to Singapore zoo. A doctor from Singapore had accompanied cheetahs journey to India in a flight.
Chief Minister Modi is also scheduled to inaugurate agricultural seminar in Junagadh Agriculture University campus as a part of state governments annual Krishi Mahotsav.
Modi is destined to be the PM of India. Jai Hind.
