no, not really, but you do definitely will hear the noise it generates, but it isn't louder than normal fans with the same size

This is an expensive fan. There are others that are very comparable to it and less then half the cost.

It's not actually bladless and east to clean since it has a fan inside and you'll need to clean the fan too.

It's like a really nice looking piece of furniture. And it's 'shelling out big bucks' dude.. $400.. come on.

@Zzyyzzxx7 based on the reviews i can tell that this thing is not very quiet at all. i can get an equally functional if not better noiseless tower fan with high air flow and a timer for a quarter of this price. so how does Dyson justify the ridiculous price other than it being cool looking and easy to clean? let's face it the only selling point is that unconventional design.
