Habana - Arte Nuevo de Hacer Ruinas es una película de los cineastas alemanes Florian Borchmeyer y Matthias Hentschler que explora edificios de La Habana en ruinas, y las personas que viven en ellos. Ver esta documental te romperá el corazón. Se muestran personas que viven en estos edificios de esqueleto que parecen ruinas abandonadas. Es imposible aceptar que seres humanos viven en estas estructuras. Sin embargo, para los residentes, los edificios representan el hogar, y los recuerdos de tiempos mejores. Estas personas hacen ver con amor sus hogares a pesar de que son impotentes para detener su deterioro. Los edificios huecos parecen una zona de guerra, que recuerda a Berlín o Dresde al final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Sin embargo, estas ruinas no fueron creadas por la guerra, sino por negligencia deliberada. El narrador los ve como una construcción lógica de los discursos de Fidel - La Habana se ha convertido en un ejemplo de arquitectura de uso antiguo, una década de Fidel de una posible invasión de EE.UU., para justificar su poder absoluto. Al final de la película, sus lágrimas se sustituye por una rabia impotente. Muchos han sido testigos de esta devastación, y han optado por permanecer en silencio, o peor, desestimar las ruinas de La Habana

Havana - The New Art of Making Ruins is a film by German filmmakers Florian Borchmeyer and Matthias Hentschler that explores Havana's ruined buildings, and the people who live in them. Viewing this film will break your heart; shown are skeletal buildings that seem deserted ruins, it's impossible to accept that human beings inhabit these structures. Yet, to the buildings residents, they represent home, and memories of better times. These people make do with, and lovingly tend their crumbling homes even though they are powerless to stop their decay. The hollow buildings look like a war zone, reminiscent of Berlin or Dresden at the end of WWII. However, these ruins were not created by war, but by deliberate neglect. The narrator sees them as a logical construct of fidel's speeches--Havana has become an architectural illustration of fidel's decade's old use of a possible U.S. invasion to justify his absolute power. By the end of the film, your tears will be replaced by an impotent rage when you remember how many journalists, tourists, and embassy workers must have witnessed this devastation, and have chosen to remain silent; or worse, dismissed the ruin of Havana

@HermitMongoose Fidel Castro's primary title is "First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba". He is also President of Cuba, Prime Minister of Cuba, Commander in Chief. Basically he has been the KING of Cuba for the past 51 years. He is the #1 communist Thug of the world today. Anyone who disagrees with him has three choices: jail, death or exile. Fidel Castro is the perfect representation of Communism and will go down as the best example for a communist leader. Death to communism.

@gusanomarielito I don't mean to offend, but people always seem to have the wrong idea about Communism. Technically speaking, there has never been a truly Communist government in any nation in history. Castro used the idea of Communism to lower everyone's guard so that he would have an excuse to hold absolute power. Fascism, where a leader holds absolute power, is the first step to Communism. True Communism exists in the nation when the workers rebel and overthrow the government.

@HermitMongoose I've seen this "communism has never been reached" argument before. You are wrong. Communism was very real in the past century and it was tried in many many many countries and it never worked, rather it created disasters of massive proportions. Communism is an idea very far from reality made up by idealists who brainwash the ignorant masses. Communism is not attainable because humans are not meant to live like robots. Competition and liberty will always surpass equality.

Eso es lo que nosotros en el exilio hemos tratado haser entender pero nadio nos cree; que La Habana "ERA" una de las ciudades mas lindas del mundo y este hijo de puta Fidel Castro y los comunistas destrosaron a esa ciudad y a la isla entera. @sisi77fi,y aun asi,hay todavia muchos,pero muchos por aqui,por el YouTube (sobre todo de latinoamerica)que se CREEN que Cuba es un "paraiso",o que es algo asi como...."EL FARO" que "Alumbra" a toda Latinoamerica.Y creame,que son unos cuantos los ESTUPIDOS que aun se creen eso.Bien les valdria vivir "EN CARNE PROPIA" dentro de Cuba,y por todo un año entero (a ver si lo "aguantan"),pa que sepan lo que es eso.Saludos...
