Here is where i do most of my work, scrubbing the floors and such, i REALY hate those engines.... GM detroit deisels, V16s. There good at turning diesel into fumes, heat and noise.... But, ah, they do the job. These were engines outof big rocktrucks, and weve kept them going for a good 10 years, rebuilding each only once at least. boat is regestered for 2600 HP.

  • what r the 3 handles for, I know 2 or for main engines, but the 3rd?

can the bridge control them directly or do they allways use the intercom ringy thing?

  • do you guys always run with open hatches and gangways.. ?you'd thing they's be shut incase of accident etc

  • Wow, I have to wear earplugs just to watch the vid!! Do you post warnings to all ships within 3 miles to wear earplugs as you approach? Haha! Very nice video!

  • Thanks for posting this. Kind of a soothing sound (but I'd imagine very noisy in person!), like being lulled to sleep by central air-conditioning. Are those mains 16V149s? Looks as if the auxiliary equipment covered the "71" series well: 2-71, 3-71, 4-71, 6-71.

  • awsome vid man, hopefully ill be on there one of these days workin aside my best bro;)

  • Awsome! Reminds me of my days in the Navy. I liked the way you showed EVERYTHING in the engine room, keep up the good work! chris "the mechanic"
