  • @dubstrongvr6 how do you cut boost? its commom for the enrgy source of boost the be cut ( heat) / (fuel). fuel cut.. hks fcd is the cure for fuel cut but not necesarily the right thing to do!! if there is a way tho make boost vanish without cutting fuel i would like to know. seriously no joke ,mail me or somthing

  • @luvu07 check opreration of wastegate actuator.. is it electonicly controlled or pneumatic. has it been doin this since you bought it.. have there been any electronics removed from the car the list is endless bro.. start with the simple things first. operation of all boost control componets.. be methodicle .. do you live near the sea salt destroys cast and other metals and if you car was idle for some time i would not be suprized if a bit of easing oil did the trick,

  • @krcooper76 its not so much that it bad for the turbo in a sense. obviously working a turbo exesevly over its operating range will cause wear and premature failure.. its in the case of wher a turbo is not upraded along with other work ( volumetric eficiancy of engine exeeds turbo ) it becomes a restriction. a larger turbo with larger piping and intercooler can run less boost and still perfom the same a lesser one thats being stretched to its limits. a larger turbo = less psi

  • instead of overboost wich is such a general term in this case, i beleive the title should be "fuel cut" wich im 99% sure is what happend. those who fitted and adjusted there first cheapo bleed valve will know exaclty these symtoms

  • @imbeamin its all cool bro.. i was just imagining people jamming the wastgates open trying to get more boost lol.. beleive me youd be suprized what a chancer will chance if he thinks hes right. i kinda figured you made a mistake but i had to point it out its my job lol.. anyway im glad you sr is good and healthy now, with a forged bottom end and studded. you can really push a sr even on a bad ( badish ) tune.. have fun and drive safely sideways ;)

  • @nickernosher yes forgive me i made an error it was stuck shut.. and i do respect my car now like i said i wanted to rebuild thanks for your wisdom sir.

  • @imbeamin you do realize that if a wastegate becomes stuck open that the exact opposite will happen.. not puttin you down but your making false statement on the internet for every1 to see. now in the previous comment i stated i would fire my mechanic. false lol i am one. ans secondly it takes a wastegate to jam close or the be restricted in some form. evo's come to mind here.. for what your describing to happen.. that is all over and out. please respect you sr. little do u know how good they are

  • @nickernosher lol its my car whats it to you, and if you read correctly I was going to rebuild anyway so what's all the fuss about ?

  • @LeGozador what are you talking about....you are a fucked up idiot

  • @imbeamin ok if i read your comment correctly.. tyou r stating that your sr20det was overboosting because the wastgate was stuck open.. im gonna fire my mechanic right now and get you to fix all my cars.. NOT
