Electronic Orange - 60's Theremin prototype

This is a theremin circuit i made the way it was used in 60's. A simple Theremin like this became famous mainly due to Jimmy Page, who has been using this weird instrument on stage for the most of his career. Well, the pole antenna is not the best choice for theremins - a plate antenna is much more sensitive - but the show design has been defined by Jimmy. Also this is not meant to play melodies as much as it is meant to produce a nice spectrum of horrifying sounds and noises.

Absolutely awesome video. I watched it a dozen times. One question tho, who is the manufacturer on the pole theramin used in this setup?

@bakelaar42 Hi, thanks :). I was gonna start making them, but can't get over one thing - the ball joint that connects the pole antena with the enclosure. Nobody seems to make these, which is really weird. My solution is (see the video) is too improvised for to be used in stuff i was gonna produce. But i haven't dropped the idea yet :)
