Acclaimed writer and political scholar Christopher Hitchens may just be the only writer to have recently visited Iran, Iraq and North Korea. Hitchens - known for his keen wit, sharp political insight and often controversial opinions - examines the differences between the countries once linked as the "axis of evil," while revealing intriguing connections between the nations.

  • The opening lines of Hitchens are always funny. He never ceases to disappoint his audience and listeners and it is a pity that people like Hitchens, Harris, Dawkins are rarely on any TV channels.

  • well it was hard to find this one, almost all are on youtube

  • I don't have an issue with the length or content of the intro, but it does sound like that woman just learned to read.

  • Skip forward to 2.21 and save yourself some time .....

  • He's dead.

  • @siyengar9821 That's why I don't watch T.V. my good sir.

  • Damned spider! What did Hitch ever do to you other than believe you weren't waiting in the midst, lurking about?! I say, it is disgraceful and it should apologize!...That is, the spider, of course. On a side note, after this particular viewing , head over to the sidebar and be sure to watch as Hitch matches wit with the profanely ignorant " Mos Def." Or, Mr. Definitely, if you'd like. It's worth its weight in gold! Long live reason. Long live Christopher Hitchens.

  • all 5 continents?

  • @SuperDriver85 I don't speak Arabic and it's really hard to make out what's going on but I think this is the footage: you tube dot com slash watch?v=VHBF8EKt-zc

  • Regarding criticism from some that the introductory speech was too long and that Hitchens alluded to this by calling it 'suspiciously terse': he had been using that line at the start of his speeches for some years, many of his lectures begin with him accusing the introduction as being 'suspiciously terse.' It is somewhat of a inside-running-joke. I thought it was a good introduction and just about the right length.
