This is an original Super Kaos 60 (59.5" wingspan) that I recently converted to electric. It has flown with a .60 2-stroke since 1972. In 1994 it was damaged in a flood and sat in the garage until it was rebuilt in 2003, when I decided to make it a tail-dragger. It flew for a couple years until it was damaged due to engine failure. So for this rebuild, I converted it to electric. It has an AXi 4120/14 brushless outrunner, ICE 75 amp esc, 5-cell LiPo (18.5 volt) 6,000 mah. I'm running a 13/10 prop. It weighs in right at 8 lbs. I got just over 6 minutes of flight on the maiden, with plenty of power still left. I imagine it will get about 9 minutes of flight with this setup.
Got all the kinks worked out after many flights. I'm now running a 12x10 nitro prop. It has good speed, great power, excellent handling characteristics, and I'm getting 10 - 12 minute flight times.
