Britain invented the imperial system and forced the colonies like america to adopt it.

Where's the PROOF of this??
Back in 1987 Road & Track clocked a Ruf CTR (commonly referred to as the "Yellowbird") to a genuine 211mph. No other car at the time could break that, and had it been able to would've
Rudolf Caracciola drove 268mph on the German Autobahn in January 1938. Bernd Rosemeyer was doing 274mph but was killed on the return run thus Caracciola's record stood
Did I mention they achieved this 75 years ago, and unlike the supposed Sledgehammer run it was documented and filmed?

1987 Callaway Sledgehammer Corvette can go 254 miles per hour. On a track that's not nearly as smooth as that, on a day that is not nearly as ideal as that. For only 400,000 dollars. With no special key or regulation or any of that. Did I mention it's rear wheel drive? Or that they did this over 25 years ago?
