@Stephenamesbruner Its nice to have but not completely necessary. Im still doing all the rad mitigation i was before i got one...interesting to see the waves roll in though, sometimes under clear skies :(

@lindaamenzies when appropriate, yes, unfortunately there are alot of areas to cover so if there is no concern...ie no precip or jet stream, then it will be left off the forecast. I only have a 3 minute time slot for the radio stream. Please check out some of the weather tools online so you can quickly and easily check for yourself! Google jet stream forecast to start. Good luck!

@lindaamenzies Linda, Ichi is including Hawaii in her observations. To answer your question, Hawaii is not currently getting fallout from Fukushima. Right now on the West Coast, the path of the fallout is most directly over Oregon and Washington state. It varies, and sometimes HI does get fallout in the jet stream and even trade winds, but not right now.
