  • @boobahwywy They were a band that went through the process of audition for a television show. With time they became a band in their own right - they are actually four very talented accomplished men :)

  • i hate that i wasnt born in the 40's so i could live through my 4 favorite decades but i had to be born in '96 and have to live with what people call music...

  • R.I.P DAVY THE HOTTI OF THE GROUP U WILL B MISSED. 4EVER B IN OUR HEARTS. <3

  • mike's voice is so GOOOOOD

  • @sallyg270 You are one very smart 15/16 year old who can appreciate good music. I myself wish I had been born fifteen years before I was so I could be old enough to hear their music the first time it played. Sadly I was born eight years after the show began and had to experience as reruns first on a local UHF channel and then as late night airings on VH1 when I was twelve and thirteen. Thank goodness for Youtube since I donated away CDs in December.

  • PUT THE MONKEES IN THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME....YOU BASTARDS

  • What's Ironic is that Nesmith went through so much to be divorced from the Monkees thinking he wouldn't be taken seriously otherwise yet he became a pioneer of this type of music presentation. There's so much of his Monkee roots in "Elephant Parts"

  • RIP davy jones :((

  • Mikester, on weekends I'm sure you tune up the gitar and the banjo, and just let it go.

    Good for you!

  • Nezsmith wrote and produced the song, but he almost had to duke it out in a Hollywood parking lot to get his way. The Monkee management did not not want 'the boys' calling the shots.

  • i like how nez plays his nose (;
