I certainly appreciated the dialog in this movie! The cinematography was fabulous and distinctive. Like over half of the movies he has done, it is not just a great movie, but also a work of art. I think this movie is perhaps his best artistically. But yeah, I agree, someone just looking for a good movie (ie: like a non Tarantino fan) will also be pleased.

@mikeMazzacre agreed. if you can't read , or have a difficulty reading, the movie will be horrible for you. city of god is 100 percent subtitles. oscar and can winning movie. nuff said.

I didn`t have any problem with subtitles, I love them. The movie had just downright poor writing and some bad acting from bad pitt in addition to the overuse of sadistic violence and sweeping generalizations. QT is definitely the most overrated director I have ever seen. People say his dialogue is top notch, I was not impressed at all.
The movie is nothing more then a steaming pile of shit.
