A terrible disaster for so many reasons! The fog also hampered the rescue service as they went straight to the klm with no survivors not realising the panam had been hit. The rescue arrived at the panam 20 minutes later, too late for many.
It would be interesting to know if the person(s) responsible for planting the bomb in gran canaria were ever caught.
