Guys, best buy has this mic for 69.99 so I would recommend getting it from best buy other than amazon because amazon has it for 89.99 dollars.

The only thing that leaves me debating this, is that it picks up a LOT of ambient noise. Is there anyway to help that issue out?

yup I already got one. for 57.55 from B&H I live in MD and it only took 2 days to get here. I ordered it on Tuesday and got it today.

@WowDar1 if you used Audacity for recording you can highlight your recording then go to effect and chose volume and turn it up a few decibels

@Rleeson85 A pop filter just clamps on to the mic stand and is positioned between your mouth and the mic.

i have been making videos for a lil while now and i just got my blue snowball. i do love the sound i get out of it but it seems that i have to have the mic atleast as close to my mouth as 4 in. to realy hear my voice. i thouhgt it could set like 12 in. away and pick up great. is there a setting i should change or something? btw i'm on winddows vista.

@WowDar1 Got a pop filter? I just use setting 1 and talk close. You won't be able to sit a foot away but you can be about 5-6 inches away and still get a rich sound for your voice.
