  • Do you brush the barrel with a nylon brush with KRoil on it just as a rust-guard? Or is it to further clean the barrel aswell?

  • @larshenrik91 I use plastic or fiber brush to wet barrel with Kroil

  • @birgrunar

Yes, you dont use the KRoil as a cleaner, just as preservation?

  • @larshenrik91 As a preservation.

  • DO NOT LEAVE SOLVENT IN BORE OVERNIGHT!!!!!!!!

    You will damage the bore

  • @54zk No. Milder solvents like Shooters Choice is ok. It is only the stronger solvents and solvents with ammonia blend that will damage bore, if letting it stand too long in bore.

  • lol clean 20-30 shots... i shoot bout 100 at a time when i go out... oops...

  • So this is how you clean a rifle.

  • If you have any scratches inside the barrel, what could help to remove the scratches?

  • f'n talk you silent mofo

  • Would rubbing alcohol be safe to put through a barrel?

  • I love that stock. What kind of rifle is that? Caliber? (sorry for all the questions... I'm drooling.)

  • what do you do to clean the exterior of the barrel, if there is some dirt or grime what do you use?

  • I have a remington 700 and I will use Hoppes 9 or Break Free. I will wet patch, brush , dry patch and do this routine 4 or 5 times and the patches never come out clean. There is always some dirt on the patch (light gray streaks not black or dark). The gun is very sub 1 moa and I will routinely shoot 600 yards with it. Any recommendations or is it really not a problem?

  • @WinMOD42 , Yes you want it to spin. Their are much easier and better ways to clean a firearm. The best thing ive found is to use a product called "wipeout" its removes copper, carbon and anyother metal that isnt supposed to be in the bore. Send me a PM if you have any other questions on how to clean a gun.

  • @birgrunar

I use G96 all purpose cleaner. It says it can be used to coat the gun afterwards for storage, I would assume this would be safe in the bore as well right?
