  • @casch0101 You're busting on Ray Charles? Really? He was a very meticulous musician during studio takes. He makes my Top 5 easily of All Time Greatest Musicians. Ray had a knack for singing off-verse yet still in tempo...part of his genius.

  • 0 dislikes! We still love you Ray ;)

It's ok. You can watch and listen to my stuff here just simply looking up "Carlos Schvartzman Paraguay". And you can listen to my playing, arranging and composing at Soundcloud.

  • @casch0101 I guess I shouldn't have corrected you then.. You probably forgot more music than i'll ever know. I just wasn't hearing what you apparently heard the first time you listened to this. No offense intended. Is there a place where I can go and hear some of your original compositions and/or arrangements? I'm a huge music fan, although I don't play an instrument.

Of course you do that in jazz (that's what it's about!). I should know, I've been a professional composer, arranger and guitar and piano player for 40 years!. Astonishingly, now I listened to it again and it's great!...no unsync with the band. Guess there was something wrong in terms of sync the first time I listened to it since I am a keen listener. Thanks for the comment.

  • @casch0101 You sure about that? If you listen closely, you'll hear he was perfectly in tune with the tempo. Its alright to rush or slow down a certain phrase every know and then in a song, so long as you keep up with the tempo of the music, which he did. Its jazz so you'll hear a lot of that. It happens all throughout this song. And I agree this is a great, great vocal. He's one of the greatest Blues, Soul and Jazz vocalists in the history of recorded music. Bravo Ray!

  • At 1:32 Ray pronounces too soon "it had to be you ..." out of sync with accompaniment from orchestra and stays "crooked" until 1:42. Funny, but it happened. Great vocal, nice orchestral arrangement.

  • Entire album is spot on-wonderful, my favorite : )

  • Two words .... Simply Beautiful !! ♥ ♥

  • nice ray its awesome!!!
