This is wilderness camping from the perspective of my ten-year-old daughter. She diligently wrote in her journal every night after swatting mosquitoes in the tent. The first part includes our drive up to Lake Winnipeg, pictographs on Artery Lake, and my daughter's recounting our rare sighting of a woodland caribou. She would keep track of how many bug bites she got each day. The mosquitoes were the worst I have ever seen for an August trip.

  • Absolutely loved this paddling video! Trio Mediaeval made a great musical backdrop. My daughter & I paddle together every year...CHEERS!

  • I was fishing here just last July and I saw the very exact same paintings. I caught a 20 lb. pike a couple miles ahead just in front of the next set of rapids.

  • Wow, your daughter is a great videographer and story teller. My husband is going canoeing here next week. Looks beautiful!
