@amylee9690 I think offering dismissive stereotypes in response to accusations of racial profiling may not necessarily be hateful, but it is hurtful. The idea that people shouldn't be offended by an elected official brushing their entire ethnicity off in the context of civil rights baffles me. I think it's a disgrace. Maybe you don't think so, but I hope that you can at least see how that kind of remark can damage people's faith in a mayor's commitment to their well-being.
