Rappelling into Dominion Park Island Cave

Well this was our second trip out to the cave. The first time we realised that the entrance was iced over so we couldn't climb in the traditional way, at least not without being belayed from inside the cave.
So we decided to bring rope and rappel into the cave from the top. As you can see by me slipping at the top it was really wet and slippery but it went well. Stu, Nick and I rappelled into the cave then jim went but his rope slipped and he ended up lower than the entrance of the cave, so we decided to belay jim and Ben, using a permanent anchor inside the cave, and help them climb over the ice. Alex decided to wait for us on the ground. Now we were all in the cave (except alex) and ready to explore. It was pretty cool, it had some tight spaces and also some large rooms. There were a few bats and spiders. after we were done exploring we rappeled out of the cave, packed up and hiked another half hour back to my car. Overall it was an excellent day.
