  • that looks like the microsoft projekt "SURFACE" a multitouch table that connects over Bluethoot or W-lan whit a mobile phone when this is putting on it. and its a multitouch "Table". I think that this will be good...

  • Thanks for your comment. Compared to MS Surface there are differences: Our multitouch-table is based on infrared touchframe, you can use it with every 42" LCD screen, with PC or Mac and the solution is available right now (also for rent), so you don't have to wait till 2011 ;-)

  • What is an "infrared touchframe"? Is it like the HP Touchsmart? How many point touch is it capable of? It's only in 42"?

  • Infrared is one of the different types of touch technology. It uses vertical and horizontal infrared sensors around the frame. You don't need to touch the glass, the reaction is just 2-3 mm in front of the glass.

    OS is Windows XP.

The HP Touchsmart is a single touch capacitive screen, you have to touch it with a strong and continuous pressure of your finger.

The LCD in our clip is 42" but you can use any size, our touch overlay is an universal tuning module for every LCD/plasma.

  • It sounds like a break-beam type of technology.

Does this mean it is only capable of 2-point touch?

Because if say form a right triangle with 3 fingers, one of the fingers will be blocked by the other 2.

  • You're right, LCD-based touchscreens can track and evaluate two points at the same time.

It is a compromise but with a clear benefit towards touch solutions with beamer & cameras: luminous picture quality in Full-HD resolution, exchangeable components (flatscreen, PC).

  • I like it!

  • Probably a whole lot of money.. There are multi-touch laptop pads and mult-touch screens out right now but there isn't a whole lot of software available to the general public that really uses the functionality. Of course, I could be wrong.

There could probably just be a protective cover you slide out of the back and fold over to keep it from being messed with. Something with a lock would be nice.

When lots of user applications can use this I wouldn't mind picking a small one up.

  • So how much does this system cost? What do you do? Mount the frame on the monitor or some table, etc. that we have to make? I suppose if you don't want ppl pressing on your LCD, you have to put a piece of glass over the monitor too.

What is the resolution of your horizontal and vertical linear CCDs? Or do you have just a bunch of discreet detectors like a light curtain?

  • aha okay,

    but I have to say...

That seems to be reaally good..;)

and what of Operating system is this on the Video I see at the top a blue line (maby Windows XP)? Or is it a self made O.system
