@nileyislovely I'm not going for that kind of career so why would I? I'm not trying to be a singer. There are no videos of me belting out someone else's song or auditioning for anything so I really don't find how I need to sell albums to have an opinion.
However, that being said, you don't need to have a "great voice" to sell multi platinum albums. There are plenty of "cross over artists", like Duff (she was an actress) who only sell because they had a following prior to their singing career.

I saw her in concert in 2007 and she broke out with this song. It was a total surprise to me, but I thought Hilary did a great job with it!
