What I do is, Shave with hot water The first time. WITH the grain, how you'd normally shave, then shave against it slowly with freezing cold water to close the pores, and not get any dirt in there

not only is it a close shave, you look like a badass shaving with a straight razor.
SIXTY DEGREES!!
Seriously dude, I've never seen or heard about anyone using a 60 degree angle. If your razor is sharp enough, 20 or 30 degrees is fine.
DOVOs don't come from the factory shave-ready.
Did you hone your DOVO yourself or have a professional do it?
I learned from Dr Moss' manual: The Art of the Straight Razor Shave.
It's a pretty comprehensive guide.

I stropped it lightly before my 1st shave and have maintained it ever since....I use a 60 degree angle and get a good shave everytime, if that doesnt work for you dont do it...

I'm not deriding your technique, I'm saying your razor isn't as sharp as it should be for an optimal shave.
Love your videos, keep 'em coming, por favor!
