I don't think it's the case that speed makes it 'better' but it definitely makes it more awesome ... a slower bass solo has more music merit and emotional effect, but this thing just makes your eyes pop out and go "woooooah"
-
@8down10 I guess people are more impressed by speed than the actuall sound (and millencolin is a tad bit better). And to be honest I like the simplicity of millencolins basslines. Especially Duck pond and Pepper. :)

@MyVlogger really your sister was with Nikola? thats really cool. dont get me wrong mate Matt is very good but he relies on speed and speed isnt the key. take a more simple Millencolin bassline like Dr jekyll and mr hide, Trendy winds or almost any song off Tiny tunes, (especially The einstein crew) and I think that Nikola is a better player in terms of sound, even if Matt does have more capability

Does Tim actually play?

@8down10 I know who Nikola is, Mostly because my sister was together with him for a period of time and I listen to millencolin pretty much when I'm not listening to Rancid. And I can agree that he is a good bass player but I have to disagree that he's better than Matt Freeman. I've seen both of them live and I can say that Matt's playing style is superior to Nikolas... For the other two I don't know but I'll probably look them up.
