Not just Janis, but a healthy dose of Melisa Etheridge too, and also maybe a little of some of the traditional Brit-folk ballad singers in there as well. Very nice combination of power & smoothness in your voice

Also your voice reminds me of Janis Joplin a bit. Just that yours is more full bodied and warm and not as raw and raspy. Love it.

YES people told me when I was touring ASAI that my voice reminded them of the late GREAt JAnis Joplein so I take that as the highest compliment
