Skyrim - Friendly dragon?

This dragon wasn't attacking me for some reason and there was no combat music playing, so I assume he was friendly? Maybe part of a quest, maybe a glitch? I don't know. Please enjoy!

Pretty sure that;s Aldwin or w/e the main dragon is. I was here at one point and there was a dragon mound near there. Idk though that's my idea.

I ran across 3 frost trolls and a frost dragon came in to save the day.On master difficulty.Not that I needed it :D

I had same thing, the dragon was following me and killing all the enemies. It was rather annoying than useful for meh so i just had to take his soul.

if you let Paarthurnax alive some dragons become friendly

Actually after you join the blades (more so than not) there is a chance of passive dragons spawning. Apparently, they fear you so they don't bother you. But still, don't be fooled. Ive had 4 dragons outside of whiterun who were random. They saw me, but only one attacked.

after beating the main quest, i still saw dragons, but it seems they are all friendly and do not attack, can anyone clarify this?

I've run across an elder dragon that not only wouldn't attack me, but went out of it's way to kill bandits, ignoring a nearby giant and guards, who also ignored it. When it was done it landed at the bandit's camp and just kinda chilled, never decided to start flying again and never attacked a neutral or good npc, just bandits. I'm wonder if old Parthy is making good on his promise to teach some dragons to be nice?

this happened to me yesterday, dragon didnt attack me, just everybody else in the general area until some bandits killed it
