  • Early photographic processes used mercury vapor to develop the exposed plates. Needless to say, early photogaphers had short lives.

Then there were the mad hatters using mercury to produce felt.

I wonder about all the slurry water runoff. Where does that go?

    Scary stuff.

  • I am doing work on mining I would like to present some images of this video.

  • Contrary to popular belief, unless you have open cuts, handling mercury won't harm you; though, it wouldn't hurt to wear eye protection and maybe some gloves. The real danger is from mercury vapor.

  • now that most of the world knows of the hazard of mercury, its sold to uneducated miners who dont. and get these people some other way to make a living,

  • Jesus Christ! Don't wear any gloves or respirators or splash guards! That entire area has been rendered a toxic death pit with at least a 300 foot radius of toxicity!
