I wish my Welsh grandfather had been able to teach me the language before he died (I'm sorry to say I'm born English even if part of my family is Irish), I know the translation but I wouldn't dare sing this in English! And I swear, in England it's easier to lean Mandarin than any of the Celtic languages and I've never heard of an English school where it's an option, it would be so nice to have some culture we didn't just import (well I'm from Yorkshire so we kind of do, but it's not the same!)
