  • @SSX4life SSX - can you send ti to me as well. I've got FOG running for imaging FROM remote workstations, but I'm stuck using it to actual "Install" an OS over the net. Specifically, I'm trying to load WMWare ESXi 3.5-5. All of the examples demo installing windows or various flavors of Linux, but they skip over the exact syslinux files needed and the fog dir naming conventions needed to make it work.

So, any help is appreciated. Thanks

  • i don't know why u r talking about FOG.

U R just using Universal Network boot disk which your loaded though syslinux (PXE Linux). Any TFTP server is capable of doing it.

  • @solidsnake7820

sorry for the delay, I now have an updated video in the works for showing how to do this. Please check out my most recent video's.

  • You actually can do that! =)

Also it allows the remote installation of progams in Windows 7 using Bart PE and scripting. (still in beta).

More cool stuff on this to come.

I also just sent an email to SOlidsnake7820 about how to set this up... I haven't had time to document everything yet, so please be patient with me!

  • looks awesome, would be good to run PC CHeck over PXE :D and BIOS updates etc

  • I'm waiting
