ironically, the mortgage lenders also assisted in this scamby unitech. I am told that icici said - "we finance (in that order) Unitech/Dlf/Omaxe/parsvanath..­we do not finance Ansal"...there is complete abscence of Govt. regulation..which is why on 14/8/08, Belvederepark in GGAOn turned into venice!!

i was just about to finalise a deal at uniworld city , kolkata after negotiating hard with a resseller. Now I will think 100 times before finalising. The is offering at 35% discount to current rate of the builder

I was wondering how could these people be scammed into buying property on this plot, did they not check it out before the purchase. I know sometimes in India you buy property before it is even constructed. Is that what happened here. Also what is the local or state government doing about this. Going through the legal system would take for ever so this will take direct govt action to resolve. And finally can someone tell me where I can find more information on the current status of this.
