  • Why is there a metal fire in a litihium ion battery? I thought, that in lithium ion battery no lithium metal is present. So, why not extinct with water?

  • @kaoote lithium is (the lightest) metal

  • @ximinezcardinal well, that is true, but still, there is no Li metal inside a Lithium ion battery...

so there would be no metal fire at all...

  • @kaoote well, i guess it is called lithium-ion battery because it contains only nitrogen ;)
