BlackBerry Bold 9700: Hands-on impressions

We were lucky enough to get our hands on RIM's latest BlackBerry, the Bold 9700 (aka, the Bold 2), and put it through some real-world paces. On the whole, Iyaz felt like it was a pretty solid device, noting the BlackBerry's trademark penchant for a killer keyboard was still intact, and the new trackpad is a more-than-suitable replacement for the trackball of BlackBerrys past. iphone users really need to STOP reviewing blackberry phones. all they do is compare the phone to the iphone, when they're two different types of phones. duh, you really enjoyed a physical keypad... well, no shit, of course you would cause the iphone doesn't have one. i mean, are you serious? the iphone is a good phone but not for everyone, so really don't try and convince me or anyone that their phone is bad because its not an iphone. damn.

@Supraholic1200 agreed appworld is not needed to download apps. in fact, app world is probably the worst way to get bb apps. bbs can download apps from ANY website that hosts the file.

they should have compared cameras. most assume the iphone has the superior camera, but that's not the case. 9700 lens quality is much better than the iphone, thus better colors and sharpness in pictures by the bb. megapixels are just a number for show, but the 9700 has a 3.2 camera vs the iphone with a 3.0.

This phone is decent, nothing ground breaking. Can't help but to point out the complete biased between these two over the Iphone. However, it is true, RIM's browser is mediocre at best. Not a very good user experience, at all. Especially comparing it to the other mobile browsers on the market. Lastly, they need a knew interface, and a bigger screen, how much longer can you go with the curve like structure? That's what makes the 9000 so much more appealing to me, personally.
