Happy holidays everyone! Thanks for tuning into clevver movies, your number one source for movie news! Im Tatiana carrier and With 2012 right around the corner, anticipation starts rising even higher for the big superhero movies coming out next year!
.
With titles like Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, The Amazing Spider-man, The Dark Knight Rises, and the big Marvel movie backed by 5 years of marketing, The Avengers, it's made me want to go back and recap the best super hero movies of 2011! There's more than you may think...
.
Let's start off with one that you may have missed, Batman: Year One. This was a full length animated feature based on Frank Miller's graphic novel of the same name. It takes us back to Bruce Wayne's first year as Batman, and we also get to see James Gordon's start in Gotham City. It's a must for any Bat fan and a great watch for anyone looking to learn more about the Dark Knight.
.
Next up was a quiet release, but such a good movie! Griff the Invisible is about an austraillian office worker who decides to pick up an after dark alter ego and even falls in love in the process.
.
Earlier this year we had Seth Rogen in the reboot of The Green Hornet! Rogen brought his sense of humor to this action packed movie where a millionaire playboy who has to take over his father's newspaper after he passes away. But what else do you do when you inherit that much money? You decide to fight crime!
.
Now we're leading into the movies that exploded in the box office this summer. Green Lantern was a fun movie, but somehow fell short with audiences and critics. Ryan Reynolds plays Hal Jordan who has a magical ring choose him to be the protector of earth all while trying to sort out his life and balance in his new found powers.
.
Marvels had their first lead into the Avengers movie in 2011 with Thor! Can't go wrong with a story line where a spoiled god get's tossed town to earth with us "peasants" to find redemption, and a little romance on the side. All of this happening while his brother Loki is trying to take over the family business! Classic storyline all with Marvel's magic.
.
Then there's the movie that ties in to The Avengers. That's right, number two on my list is Captain America. Steve Rodgers, played by Marvel alum, Chris Evans, is the "too small to be a soldier but has a heart of gold" protagonist that gets his opportunity to become a super soldier and fight Nazis. Great movie, great story, lots of fun. Nuff said.
.
And finally, the best superhero movie of 2011 was X-Men: First class. Fans were weary about a another X-Men movie especially after what we got with X-Men Origins Wolverine. BUT, first class was full of fun surprises. We get to see Charles Xavier put together a rag tag group of misfits and turn them into heroes. And the relationship between Xavier and Magneto was gold. Now the movie may have taken it's liberties here and there, but in the end, it was an exciting blockbuster and I can't wait for the already planned sequel!
.
SO which was your fav? Let us know by commenting below and don't forget to sub to clevver movies your number one source for movie news! Thanks for hanging out and happy holidays!

Uhh...first of all; X-men Origins: Wolverine was fucking awesome. Second of all, Green Hornet and Green Lantern sucked ass. Captain America & Thor were the best movies i saw in 2011, and i cannot wait for the Avengers to come out
