you make me sad for owning a tocoma

@meandmyevo I totally agree. Last spring, I needed a truck for my lawn service. I needed something that could take a beating, tow a heavy trailer, and last for a long time. Couldnt afford a tundra and the f150 seemed built more like a car, so I went with a base 4x4 regular cab manual tacoma. Best purchase I have ever made.

Who thinks toyota should put a 2jzTT motor in the tacoma? That would be fucking, EPIC!
-
i personally prefer to buy American and i am a jeep guy (bring it haters lol) but i have to admit the tacoma is a hell of a truck and i would be caught driving one.

@meandmyevo i drive a 96 Taco, 3.4 5 speed and i love that truck, it's never given me any problems other than a radiator leak which was an easy fix. but in the American truck's defense i've never really seen anyone haul much with a tacoma while Chevys and Dodges are hauling fifth wheels and what not it's alot of stress on the driveline and chassis. but Tacoma's are most definately the best pickup ;D

@meandmyevo Very true, too bad people have that buy American mentality, even when some things just are outdone, and they don't like the fact that superiority is coming from a Japanese brand.

@meandmyevo That's so true dude. I am the second owner of a 1993 Toyota pickup with 200,000 miles and I take it off road all the time. I've owned it since 2000. The only problems I've had is replacing the cv boots and cv axles once, and a U joint. The front torsion bars are tightened to lift the front end and that wears out cv boots faster. I think I am going to upgrade to a 2005 or newer Tacoma.

plus he is not using snow tires!

Baltimore had a really bad snow both 2 winters ago and this past winter. They had to shut down the interstates and had 4-5 hour backups that were longer then i care to talk about. I was in my father's Tacoma which is completely stock and it handled as 40 degree incline that had been snowed over completely! There were full size trucks that were getting stuck and sliding off the road. This truck is an absolute monster!! I am about to buy one with a 3 inch lift.

@meandmyevo I have to agree. My dads 05 trd tacoma has 90,000 miles on the same clutch and he beats the piss out of it. Great truck, I have a 2010 pro4x nissan titan and I hope I have the same luck as him
Personally I feel the Tacoma strongly deserves the rank of #1 truck. I work at a driveline shop rebuilding trannies, diffs, and T-cases all day and i see a Taco MAYBE once a week while Fords and Chevys are in there four and five times a day! Most of our business comes from Dodges though ; D (by the way, the '09 F-150 is total SHIT. we've dealt with three of them now and they're only like 6 months old! My 95 Taco has never been in a shop, and I abuse it!
