@richie7rich7 Ishmael got not the prophetic line.. the prophetic line was of Isaac and all prophets were from his line.. and if ishmael was a prophet then where was his revelation? ur quran says that "something" was also given to ishmael from Allah.. So where is it?

@JesusOrMuhammad covenant by God does not mean chosen for prophetic line. If this were true then Islam by itself is false since Ismael was never meant to have prophetic line. BUT covenant by def'n as I had said earlier means a binding agreement NOT prophet. Prophet by definition means the person who delivers God's message and who prophecized in the name of God. Covenant and Prophet are two different things, you cannot mix them.

@JesusOrMuhammad covenant by definition means a Promise/formal agreement. And what was that covenant? That covenant was to follow the Law. Furthermore, if you analyze it in detail you will see that unless you are a Jew or a seed of Isaac you are not bound by the covenant. For example, if I am a christian following Jesus BUT if I do not have Isaac in my ancestry then I am not bound by the covenant and can do anything I like.

@richie7rich7 Well if u want to reject all the prophecies that Jesus fullfilled including the prophecies about the crusifixion of the messiah in Daniel, Isaiah, David etc and believe muhammad instead.. go ahead.. and ishmaelites are no where called brethern of israelites in the entire Bible.. brethern refers to fellow israelites and if u read the Bible and see what it says about Ishmael that his hand would be against everyone and he would be a wild ass of a donkey then what does that tell u?

And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation. 21 BUT MY COVENANT I WILL ESTABLISH WITH ISAAC (AND NOT ISHMAEL !!!)

@richie7rich7 Deut 18:15 "among the midst of your brethern" referrering to a member of one of the tribes of israel.. and because there were no arabs in the tribes of israel it cannot certainly be referring to ishmael

and than again if u go to Genesis 17:18 u will see again that isaac is chosen for the prophetic line and not ishmael

@JesusOrMuhammad Friend, everybody is free to believe whatever they want. I use reason and logic to base my belief. I see many contradictions, scientific and mathematical errors in the Bible BUT none in the Quran. Furthermore, the prophecies and reason for Muhammad to claim prophethood and lead NOT so luxurious life after prophethood implies to me that he really was a true and last prophet.

@JesusOrMuhammad If you read a published biography of muhammad you will see that he was persecuted for claiming prophethood. Furthermore, why would someone get up and go against the norm of the society that could threaten their life? Muhammad broke all the pagan Gods of Mecca, and preached the message of Monotheism. Also, the virgins etc...promised is from weak hadiths NOT sahih hadiths.
